National Merit??

Does anyone know if Pitt offers any scholarship for National Merit or National Achievement Finalists?

No, not that I know of. Pitt does give scholarships to kids who score high on the SAT or ACT, though. And National Merit Finalists tend to do that.

On the NM site it says that three students get something from Pitt for NM. However, I think that it is one of those small scholarships. My daughter is a sophomore at Pitt and has the full tuition scholarship. Her NM money is through a corporation, not Pitt. You might call Pitt and ask the question.

We nominated Pitt for my son’s National Merit finalist status and did not get a penny on that account. Of course Pitt rewarded my son with a full tuition scholarship based on his other accomplishments. Pitt is not a NMF full ride school.

OP, if you’re interested in full-tuition or full-ride scholarships for NMFs, here’s the best that College Confidential has to offer, and probably the best information you’ll find anywhere. Skip to the end of the thread for the most up-to-date info.
