Anyone know how to go about taking the mechanics qualifying exam?

you have to ask your teacher

Thanks! What was the qualifying Fnet=ma score from last year?

When does the exam take place?

Or when is the window of opportunity for taking it?

i took it four years ago so idk.
this was before the quarterfinals were even around.

i remember it was sometime in the middle of the year
and the problems were hard but not impossible
(think physics c but slightly more complicated).
it’ll help if you have multivariable.

now the semifinals, those were difficult.

Does any one have an idea what this year’s cut off for semi-final will be? They have changed the rule this year, and there are no quarterfinal exam after f=ma test. They say there will be about 400 semifinalists. I guess the cut-off would be similar to last year’s quarterfinal. There are 25 problems on f=ma exam, so how many do I need to get right?

i took f=ma last year
I thought I did pretty well, but I didn’t get into the next round

maruhan2, how many do you think you got right?
