National Society of Collegiate Scholars (NSCS) - Worth Joining?

I just received a letter in my school mailbox saying that I’ve been accepted for NSCS. I have a few questions that weren’t answered on the site’s FAQ:

If my GPA drops below a 3.4 after I’ve been accepted/admitted, will they kick me out?

Is it worth it? How does it distinguish itself from other programs? I’ve received various invites over my high school career, and wouldn’t be lured into paying the $20 fee to have my name published in a book or what-not… National Honors Society or whatever it is. So am I really going to get anything out of this program? I’m a psychology major, will they be able to hook me up with internships in the future? Because if all I’m gonna get out of this is a name to put on my grad school resume, it’s not worth it to me.

Thank you!

They must have just made a huge mailing as this topic has come up in several threads over the last week or so. Here is one thread, to see others do a search:

Frame the letter. It's cheaper than paying to be listed in the book.
