National Spanish Exam 2010

I got somewhere around 330 on level 3.

Does anyone know when the rankings will come out? We received my D’s national percentiles the other day, but no word as to her actual placement nationwide or statewide.

@marama

I don’t think they give you you’re nationwide placing (or at least i didnt). i was however told i got first in my state, through a letter mailed by the office. I think that you will get it soon.

On a side note, do you know what your D’s raw score - percentile was (and for what Level)? If you could share that, that would be great- I am still trying to estimate what my percentile would be based on my raw score.

I know that a raw score of 290 was 90th percentile and earned silver this year. HTH

Hi, Familyguy93,

My daughter’s percentile score was 100th (which I thought was a mathematical impossibility, but apparently I was wrong). She scored 376/400 on Level 5 – Outside Experience, in California. What state do you live in?

Familyguy93:

I spoke to the head office for the NSE and they told me they had had to recalculate the scores for Level 5 because two answers turned out to be right. That’s how they bumped up some scores from the normal 99th to the mathematically impossible 100th %ile.

I also ended up getting in the 100% percentile! I think it just means that they round up so if you are above 99.5% percentile, they will go to 100% (according to NSE office) congrats to you and your D!

And congrats to you, familyguy93!

By the way, what state are you in? We’re in CA.

I am in Indiana
