Hi,
My eighth grader son has taken three years of Spanish in middle school and won a gold and silver on the National Spanish Exam for Levels 1 and 2, respectively. The high school he will attend in August has indicated they do not give a placement test and that Honors Spanish III should be fine. The middle school Spanish teacher is a bit disorganized and I am not overly confident that he is ready but given his performance on the recent National Spanish Exam, perhaps he is ready? Does anyone have any experience with the NSE and Spanish levels? I do realize that schools will be different but presumably there are some similarities? Thanks
Our hope is that once school begins he can talk to the spanish teacher and if he is not ready get switched but getting a schedule changed is very difficult.
