So has anyone done it? How was it? People on Facebook groups all said that "it was the best time" of their lives. Also, has anyone applied for merit scholarship? Is it easy to get? The due date for scholarship applications is tomorrow but i mailed mine last week. does this improve my chances?

I'm going to DC for Medicine and Health Care during Aug 2-11. Let me know if you're going to be there!

Also, how are the dorms? Bathrooms? Food? And everthing else?

THANKS SO MUCH

some help would be nice~

There was an NSLC thread a few weeks back--hopefully it will be of some help to you: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/summer-programs/467801-national-student-leadership-conference-nslc.html

ETA: Is your program in DC at American U? If so, my daughter's NSLC program (Intl. Diplomacy), back in July '06 was at AU, as well. The residence halls that she stayed in were nice--air conditioned--communal, but single sex--bathrooms. And AU cafeteria food was good(compared to other colleges that she had visited), in her opinion.

Thanks so much! Yes it's at AU, and I look forward to it.

Bump~

Has anyone tried scholarships? Is it competitive?

I'm sure you need decent stats, but I kind of get the impression if you can pay you can go, which makes it less highly regarded than other programs. Still, my friend went and loved it. Just make sure you go over the summer - my friend went in the fall and got her first B because she couldn't make up the time she missed in one class.
