<p>"The new data on individual colleges are not available to the public. Participating institutions receive detailed reports about how their students' opinions and performances compare with those of students at other colleges. Many of the colleges refuse to release those findings. "</p>

<p>Yes, but I have found that you can ASK colleges if they participate and if so will they share their results. Some will willingly do so, others are more...cagey.... about sharing the information but will admit they participate. Which tells you something in and of itself. And, the NSSE has a very good little booklet of suggested questions to ask on campus visits that can be helpful in getting some insight into student engagement at various schools:
