<p>I have no interest in attending a liberal arts college, student body is too small etc... I prefer a university. Though from my understanding, liberal arts colleges and universities are ranked seperate. So say, when speaking of at least the top 3 ( or top 3+) liberal arts college and universities where would they most likely rank within each other? Speaking of all in one ranking. Would the top liberal arts college most likely fall behind a university ranked in top 30?</p>
<p>In my opinion, I think that LAC’s are generally lesser known in the public eye despite their typically smaller class sizes and perceived “better” academic quality. They also simply lack the size for big breaks in research and a large number of award winning alums. Therefore, with some acceptions (I’m thinking Amherst, Swarthmore, etc. The top top LACs), I agree that top LACs most likely fall behind a university ranked in the top 30.</p>
