me - national waiting list. (no offer for AOG scholarship :()

Off to either MMI or Northwestern Prep. if nothing happens…

Will you go even without being sponsored?

yes I will :)

With AOG im going to MMI so maybe ill see you the coming year. Although, I hope you recieve an appointment this year or an offer from USMA AOG. Did you try talking to your admissions officer about your willingness to do the prep year if offered? It shows that are really committed to west point and maybe your admissions officer will have a recommendation for you.

I’m going to MMI for my AOG. A fomer member of my JROTC went there on Falcon Foundation and got into USAFA for next year. She said that if you stay out of trouble and hold a 3.0, all you need to get an appointment is a nomination. She actually got her appointment package in early January once the academy got her mid-year grades. She also now has ready-made friends in her class.

My son recieved his civil prep offer in June (after graduation ) two years ago. Spent a good year at NMMI and is a successful (‘starman’) in the class of 2010.

PErservere, but have a backup plan

My son is getting ready to finish up his AOG year at MMI. He recieved his appointment in early Feb. He recieved 5 nominations this year vs his one last year.

Wow!!! 5?? Wow!!!

yep, Rep, both Senators, ROTC, and VP. the letter of rec from AOG goes a long way.
