i just mail saying i was invited to attend the nation youth leadership forum on medicine. they claim ""VM165's nomination to represent him school and community as a national scholar places him amond a very select group of the nation's tp[ students. fewer than 1% of all high-achieving high school students are presented wit this opportunity, and many alumni of the program report that it is a life changing experience" has anyone heard/care to share about it? i have no idea what it is or if its really that good

My S attended one and had a great experience. The invitation is mostly marketing, as I'm quite sure anyone can attend, but it was a worthwhile experience nonetheless. He still keeps in touch with kids he met there and he learned a great deal.

well, I got NYLC, LeadAmerica, and one Medicine Forum
A lot of discussions have occured in CC on these topics and many says like (I agree too) attending these forums take 'tons' of money and colleges don't regard it THAT prestigiuos at all.........but if u think that's something u like and can afford, go for it! (those 1% thins r nothing much at all!)
