National Youth Science Camp 2008

I just received a call today telling me that I was selected for NYSC this summer. I'm from Alabama. I was wondering if anyone else has been accepted and decided to go. I've heard it's a lot of fun!!!!

My son attended NYSC and absolutely loved it. He has attended other science camps, including a research camp, and this was by far his favorite. Lots of fun activities, smart campers and learning. I would encourage you to attend if at all possible. Congratulations.

I just received my acceptance packet and am planning on going! Thanks to over30 for mentioning this camp on an earlier thread--that was how I first found out about it!

over30, thanks! I'm pretty excited for NYSC; last summer I went to CMU Pre-College and found out how much fun summer camps are.

blueberrypi, congrats! When I was applying for NYSC and trolling its website, I kept thinking how great the opportunity was. I didn't know the chances of getting in though, so it was like an "it'd be amazing, but we'll see" sort of thing. I'm anticipating it quite a bit now :D

You're welcome and congratulations to both of you. I'm sure you'll have a great time.

hi everyone!
