Would you guys consider an applicant to have nationally recognized musical talent if he has been accepted to camps such as Aspen, Meadowmount, Tanglewood, IU, Julliard....?

I don't know the answer to that, but it would make at least some difference if you would clarify between being accepted at and actually having had attended.

First of all...Aspen and Tanglewood are quite specific in their literature...they are NOT camps. They are serious summer music programs. Anyone who has attended these would concur with this. Having said that...I don't know whether this would make you "nationally recognized"...even if you attended these programs. Let's put it this way...DS attended Tanglewood for two summers. While it was certainly a very very valuable experience for him musically and one he truly loved, I don't think even HE would say that it made him "nationally recognized".

Completely agree with Thumper. Tanglewood is nothing to sniff at whether it means national recognition or not.

ARTS finalists are considered nationally recognized.
