My friend is a PURE BLOOD Native American with a 3.7 GPA and 2100 SATS. Does he stand a chance at ANY IV?

Those numbers are very good, and so yes, depending on what else he has done given his opportunities, he has a chance at any Ivy.

Dartmouth is most likely, and there he would get a full scholarship

Talk about URMs! I think he could get in anywhere, provided that the rest of his application is not an eyesore.

100% at all Ivies...even if you took off 500 points from his SAT and a point from his GPA.

Dartmouth does not give a full scholarship to Native Americans based on race. The only US college that does this anymore is Fort Lewis in CO. Also- in terms of 100%...more Native Americans are rejected than admitted at Harvard, so I wouldn't make such a false statement.

Well, those people probably don't have the numbers that this guy has. Without his URM status, he is a pretty average candiate, provided that he has a few EC's. Being a native american should really help.

Good luck to your friend!

He also is passonate about teaching about his ancestors to people. For example, he studies Native American music and can even play it! He also has a nook for mathematics for he has won numerous competitions. To supplement that, he is a great rugby player, and he has alot of community service hours. He wants to know if there are any schools in the US where he can get a full ride. Doesn't even have to be Ivys. (For example, Haverford,Swarthmore,UVA)

He's in, definetly.
