Native American Language resources at universities?

Hi all,

I am wondering if anyone knows of schools that have degrees or certificates for ethic studies more specifically Native American studies WITH language resources. I am currently learning Washo and would like some continuity from the institution I select.

Thanks!

All of these schools offer Native American/American Indian Studies programs with course offerings in various languages: U Washington, U Minnesota, U Wisconsin, U Alaska-Fairbanks, U Oklahoma, and there might be others. You also might find some resources in linguistics departments that do research on endangered languages, e.g., The Center for American Indian Languages at U Utah.

You should note that the various Native American/American Indian Studies program tend to focus on languages of tribes in their own states/regions. As I understand it, the Washoe tribe is from Nevada and California, so I’m not sure if any schools outside those states would offer Washoe language courses.
