<p>What's some of your favorite natural "highs"; the things that make you feel suddenly happy for the littlest reasons :) </p>
<p>Here, i'll gladly start:
Hearing my favorite song on the radio
Waking up to the sound of rain
Waking up and realizing you don't have school the next day</p>
<p>Commuting home just after dark (I bike everywhere) with one of my favorite albums on, with no traffic around, and swinging around happily between lanes. It's just all so beautiful!</p>
<p>Running, hiking, biking outside in the mountains somewhere on beautiful days...or skiing in winter...
Or being done with a cross-country race (the race itself is terrible, but good endorphins later)</p>
<p>At times I get hit by this repeat realization of how incredibly peculiar everything -- myself included - is, and how silly it was for there to be something rather than nothing. Then I try and imagine this nothing but realize that the very exercise has me take the role of an observer, which would of course be something, and my little imaginary framework collapses. All of this takes place within a very short span of time, so I can initiate the little thought experiment and immediately get struck with the momentary euphoria.</p>
<p>Cross country!! Running a 5K race! Running any race longer than one mile!! Feeling exhausted afterwards!! running with friends!! endorphins!! cross country is the new cult of america!!</p>
