We have filled out both common app and naviance and now in the midst of linking one to the other. I understand that both emails used are the same, still cannot find on Naviance where it says “Common Application Account Match.”, it is missing. I’m confused and am thinking that this might be the high school’s issue. I also notice that when I open Naviance it say that I am logged in as the parent and not the student although all student info is basically there. I there a separate code for students and parents? We were only given one. What is a parent to do, there is no where to edit Naviance info. Help!!!
Yes- parents and students have different Naviance logins. The matching between CA and Nav is only on the student account.
Be sure email address AND birthdates match. Also- Naviance won’t let you sync them up unless the FERPA waiver part of the CA is filled out.
hope that helps-
thank you much. I guess I need to contact the school, I only have the parent account active. FERPA has been waived on CA
Your son or daughter should know his/her own Naviance log in and password. The odds are that they were given by his/her guidance counselor Junior year.
I had this issue last year and the GC had S17 come into his office one day and they logged him in. He then gave me the access codes.
My relative was having the same issue.
