Naviance GPA

Does anyone know if the GPA shown on Naviance is your weighted or unweighted GPA?

Weighted

It depends on how your school does it. My school (we don’t report GPA, but have an internal GPA) is on a 12-point scale (A+ = 12) and is unweighted. If your school does weighted, I believe your Naviance GPA will be weighted.

At my son’s school it was definitely unweighted. They never weighted the GPA. It made it a little tricky to get an accurate reading, since his weighted GPA was much higher than his unweighted. We relied on an experienced college counselor for that.

You have an experienced college counselor? Lucky

Our school lists both unweighted and weighted and class rank if you are in the top 10% in Naviance. Interesting because they only report weighted GPA on transcripts.

Unfortunately our school hasn’t updated sophomore GPA and class rank since the end of the first semester of last year <grrr> </grrr>

Our HS does not give weighted GPAs so the information is unweighted.

Our school has no weighted GPA and only Sophomore and Junior GPAs (of the main 5 subjects) are counted. School counselors say that most colleges disregard the freshman year GPA in their GPA recalculation.
