So, I'm apply to colleges like a lot of ppl here, and i am kind of confused about letters of rec from naviance and common app.

When i go to my naviance account and go to "colleges Im applying to" I see the teacher's name with "completed" next to it. I'm applying for 5 colleges, but does that "completed" mean he has submitted the recs for all five colleges or just one...? because on my common application it doesn't show that the colleges have received his letter of rec, and he said he submitted it around 1.5 weeks ago. lastly is there any way for me to see on the common app if colleges have received an additional letter of rec from a person i worked for over the summer? thanks guys.

I had this same problem with my naviance letters of rec. There was a definite lag between the time naviance said the letters were completed and when commonapp said they were completed. The colleges I spoke to even said there could be a couple of weeks delay in the notification for the online letters of rec, because they have to log every single one. This shouldn’t be something you’re too concerned with, because if naviance says they are completed then they should be received by the schools soon. Commonapp only shows completed when the school has logged them, and naviance shows completed when the teachers have sent them. See the time difference?

Have you submitted the common app to all of your schools yet? If so, check under “school forms”, and then “Recommenders”. If you see the teachers name here, then the teacher is in the common app system. Continue to scroll down, and look under the school name and then it should say each of the teachers name and assigned xx/xx/xxxx. If it doesn’t then they haven’t been assigned to the school yet so double check you submitted the entire application, and then check with your high school.

whew, yeah the colleges finally downloaded it on common app, so i guess there was a bit of lag between naviance and common app, maybe b/c of christmas break? iono, but thx guys.
