Seems this year there are gigantic applicant pools making Naviance data about recent acceptances a joke. So frustrating. Anyone else have this?
Yes—Historically safe / safety matches with demonstrated interest resulted in waitlists in our case. These schools showed my son in a comfortable “sea of green check marks”—shocked at the waitlists from these schools. The reach schools were denials as were predictable per the Naviance data. One top ten LAC reach with little Naviance data was a pleasantly surprised waitlist. Another top 20 LAC with little Naviance data reach thankfully was an acceptance. Other than being able to accurately anticipate the reach denials —Naviance was useless for us.
Does anyone know when the school specific naviance sites will update?
It is up to the school. Remember that you can’t tell the age of the check mark, whether the applicant was hooked, applying to an impacted major, etc.
Yes, our high school is giving indications of likely to get in and student got deferred- in my opinion this means you had the qualifications but college did not have the spot.
