<p>You know, when I visited the USAFA campus, I noticed an Air Force falcon statue on the terrazzo. What I didn't understand was why the massive statue had two birds that were much, much smaller at the base. It took me a minute before I figured out that one was army and one was navy.</p>

<p>TAILGATE PARTY</p>

<p>The USNA Colorado Parents Club (COPA) will host a tailgate party in parking lot 2A East on the United States Air Force Academy grounds in Colorado Springs. Come one, come all and support all our men and women in uniform, but especially GO NAVY! We'll have food, beverages, shelter, a place to sit and visit with long lost friends. Watch for the BIG WHITE TENT!</p>

<p>For best access to the tailgater, enter through the USAFA South Gate Entrance (Exit # 150) and stay in left lane.</p>

<p>Volleyball - this is a tournament and the following times are when Navy
plays:
Game one Friday at 1720 on court one in Cadet Hall
Game two Friday at 1815 on court one in Cadet Hall
Game three Friday at 2015 on court two in Cadet Hall
Game four Friday at 2120 vs Air Force One on court one
in Cadet Hall </p>

<p>Men's Rugby vs Air Force;
Navy A Side vs Air Force A side on Friday at 1400
Navy B Side vs Air Force B side on Friday at 1530
(Directions - North gate and proceed west approx 2 miles
On left is an overlook, looking down on track
and field facility. Passing overlook proceed downhill
At the bottom of the hill take a left "women pitch is
on the right" follow the road around passing soccer
fields and a baseball diamond. Rugby posts are
approximately 500 meters after passing baseball

<p>Boxing:
Matches on Friday start at approximately 1630 in the
Boxing Gym. </p>

<p>International Pistol:
Match are on Friday at 1830 in the Olympic Training
Center in downtown Colorado Springs. This facility
on Boulder Street but is officially called the
Olympic Plaza. Tell the guard you are going to see
shooting matches. </p>

<p>Women's Rugby:
Friday at approximately 1600 is the B Side match.
Saturday at 0900 is the A Side match.
Location is supposed to be the same as the directions
for the men (given above). </p>

<p>Women's Softball:
Double Header - game one is Friday at 1500
game two is Friday at 1700
Games played on the Women's Softball Field. </p>

Matches are played in "best of three game" format. </p>

<p>Basketball - Location: Center Gym
One game - winners earn point
two 20 minute halves
3 minute overtime if tied in regulation </p>

<p>6 on 6 soccer (maybe 11 v 11)- location IM Field
across from soccer stadium
One game with winner earning point
two 20 minute halves
3 minute overtime if tied at regulation </p>

<p>Flag Football - location IM Field 2
one game - winner earns point
two 20 minute halves
overtime - each team gets 4 downs from the 10 yd line </p>

<p>Cross Country - location is in front of Soccer Stadium
10 runners total - 5 AF and 5 Navy
Runners Cross finish line and receive numbers 1
through 10; each team adds up place finish
team with lowest total number earns point</p>

<p>Well, rumor has it the Blue Angels flew over the USAFA terrazzo this week in route to California, just as the dollies and zommies were standing at attention for noon formation....and flew so low that they knocked the covers off several heads in the process! They said the noise was incredible! Lets hope it's an omen!!! :)</p>
