I know there are many threads out there regarding honors program. However, this one is specifically for engineering. Anyone out there who received an acceptance already?

For engineering, you will receive the application for the engineering honors program and you must apply before you receive an acceptance. I received the application pretty late after I enrolled in Rutgers, so I don’t think they would have sent them out yet.

How hard it is to get in the program? Is it sure-in if one has certain stats?

Did you enroll between April-May?

You will receive an application if you’re in the top ten percent of your class and have a combine SAT verbal and math of over 1350. [Honors Program | Rutgers University School Of Engineering](http://soe.rutgers.edu/honors-program)

Generally, I think everyone gets in, even if you are not quite at those stats. If you have any problems, contact Dean Jeffrey Rankin. (he is the first-year engineering dean.) He’s super nice, although I forewarn you that he’s not the best with e-mails.

So if you don’t meet both minimum stats, does that mean you won’t receive an application for the honors program? Or can you apply anyway?

If you are close enough to those stats, you get an application. If you don’t receive an application and would like to be in the honors program (and think you have decent stats), you may speak with the Dean and he may let you apply.
