It’s not about him leaving. It’s about the debacle that was “The Decision”. And about how he’s been making an ass of himself ever since.

Oh that was an egotistical move entirely.

Ego-booster.

Narcissistic.

He feeds off of that hate. That’s what makes him inspired to just go ape **** crazy on the court. If Dan Gilbert and the city of Cleveland didn’t overdo it… LeBron would lack a lot of attention.

Yeah. He’s a great player. No one’s denying that.

If only he wasn’t such a colossal asshat.

Actually a lot of people like to downplay how good of a player he is. It’s kind of weird.

Most NBA players are colossal asshats.

^ True. They are some a-holes.

LeBron… might be one of the greatest players I’ve ever seen.

Then again… I was able to see the end of the Jordan era… and remember him ripping out Utah’s heart in game 6… 1998.

^ My earliest basketball memory was the Knicks/Spurs finals in '99. The only Jordan memories I have are of the Wizards days.

And before this discussion gets out of hand…

Top 10 players of all-time: Jordan, Russell, Magic, Bird, Kareem, Wilt, Hakeem, Oscar, Duncan, Kobe

Top 10 players right now: LeBron, Kobe, Durant, Amar’e, Dwight, CP3, Rose, Wade, Dirk, Rondo, Melo

No particular order, although you can interpret the order how you choose.

^I think Shaq might deserve to be on that list.

The NBA is a joke. There is absolutely no passion in the game among the players besides the couple teams that literally always make it to the playoffs. And seriously, who keeps track of 80 something games during the regular season? And who would watch a best 4 out of 7 championship? March Madness is the only thing related to the sport of higher level basketball that matters.

^ College and H.S basketball are so much better. The NBA is made up of like 5 super teams that almost always win. ( Lakers, Celtics, Miami,…etc)

I’m not a huge fan of the NBA, but it’s worth pointing out that 6 years ago the Lakers went 34-48, and 4 years ago they went 42-40. Four years ago the Celtics went 24-58. Before 2008 they had gone 14 straight years without a 50 win season. Three years ago the Heat went 15-67. In their 22 season history, the Heat have gone over 50 wins only 6 times. In the 90’s the Western Conference powers were the Jazz, Rockets and Lakers/Spurs. The Eastern Conference’s best teams were the Bulls, Knicks and Pacers. This has changed.

But it is still a sport where almost half of the teams have never won a championship. I mean I love the NBA but the difference between the best teams and the worst teams is huge. I think it’s more of a pro sports problem though.

Only 35 of 347 NCAA Division I teams have won championships.

Look at the Thunder. Look at the Spurs. Look at the Bobcats. It’s possible to be successful (for the Bobcats, the playoffs are a success) without being a major market team, or even having a history of winning. What the Thunder and Spurs, in particular, have is an excellent front office. It doesn’t matter how big your market is, if you have a good GM and assistants, you will be successful. Unfortunately for my Knicks, the inverse is true as well.

PLAYOFFS.

Lol. How about those Bulls?

I’m not feeling the Bulls.
I don’t think they’ll make it all the way.

Boston’s a sleeper. They might surprise, like they did last year.

I’m digging the Bulls this year. My dad’s team is the Heat (mainly because of the Big 3- or really just because of Lebron). I think they’re overrated though. But who knows? Maybe they’ll walk away with the NBA Champion title.

Memphis vs Spurs.

Thoughts?

2nd round of the playoffs. It’s getting pretty intense.
