NC Governor's School 2020

@partyisntover I’m so sorry… it really doesn’t seem like we (c/o 2021) will have any opportunity to go. It’s shocking to think this is the first time this has happened in 58 years of GS… oh well.

@itbelikethatfr Glad you get to go. Really hope we won’t still be in this same place next summer.

I’m not going to pretend that this isn’t deeply upsetting, but I’m so glad I did get to meet you all… please stay safe and healthy and best wishes ^^

Hey! I am going between natural sciences and math for the upcoming year and have written the essays and eveything but I don’t really know which one is better? Cause my grades are better in math but both my essays are pretty good. Not to mention academics wise I have all A’s and a high gpa. I am thinking to apply for natural sciences but not sure. What did u write about? But mention only if u don’t mind! My extracurriculars are math and science related so they’re intertwined in every way so I’m having a difficult time in deciding between what to apply for. I’m fine with either math or science but I just want to pick the essay that will give me a better chance of getting in. I also have no awards other than regional awards for science Olympiad.

@estye2409 hey! I was wondering if we can chat about your acceptance as I’m applying for next year!!

@Horserider14 Welcome! I was accepted for French so I am probably not the right person to ask about math vs. science, but I’d go ahead and picture yourself in college. Which subject will you be majoring in (okay if you don’t know)? Would you be better served by the opportunity to do scientific research or the challenge of mathematical theory?

Best of luck to you all-- I truly hope you will not face the same COVID mess we did.
