NC kid--what are my chances?

I'm a white female (blehhh) from NC, and attend a charter school ranked 9th in the nation, with a graduating class of 107. I should also mention that I'm a notoriously awful test taker, but great essay writer....

Stats:
GPA: 3.9 unweighted, 4.8 weighted
Class rank: my school's uber competitive, so we don't do it
SAT: 2120 (740 V, 660 M, 720 W, 12 Essay)
Waiting to hear back from SAT IIs in Math IIC, Literature, and US History

APs taken:
Sophomore year: US Government-4
Junior year: English Language-5, US History-5, Calculus AB-3
Senior year: English Literature, Psychology, Latin Literature
Also taking Comparative Politics at NC State University as a 7th course (because it is not offered at my school)

Activities/Honors:

Student Body President
Prom Committee Chair
National Merit Commended Scholar
National Honor Society
Latin Honor Society
International Thespian Society
AP Scholar with Honor
Musical Theatre Club Chair (2 yrs)
Model UN Secretary (2 yrs)
Student Legislative Assembly Chair (3 yrs)

ALSO, in the community:

Any advice is greatly appreciated. I'm interested in pursuing a degree in political science or international relations.
Thanks so much!

You're lucky to be in-state, because Duke admits a large % of in-state students. A couple of years ago it was ~40%, but I think it's dropped somewhat. Even OOS your chances are at least as good as anyone else's.

ugh raleigh charter, your guys' campus sucks...but you seem pretty awesome, i'd say you're definitely in at duke

well, yeah she actually is...the original post is from 2005...but way to be right jimbob =p

Thanks, wb88. I didn't want to play captain obvious here, but you've got my back.

Ermmmm, yeah, this is from last year....I wish there was an anti-bump. I would move this back to 2005 if I could. But uh, thanks? I guess I'll see you guys in the fall.
