If we don’t have an ncsu.edu email address in the system does that mean we were not accepted? Or are they still updating them
Do you mean spring admits heard last year on the 21st like the spring connection students who start a semester late?
I am wondering the same thing. My son does not have an email. ? I am now concerned. Think they are going in alphabetical order? Yikes.
Has anyone looked at the Instagram feed? The story says “Tomorrow at 7pm”. You think they mean decisions???
Yes! Soring admits heard last year on the 21st. They do not start till January, but they have some great options… they can even study sbroad in Prague for the Fall.
Unfortunately no. There is a Facebook admissions event tomorrow at 7.
Is there any link to see how many freshmen were able to get into the major of their choice?
I think things are in limbo. Son had an email on Monday and didn’t last night. Waiting impatiently.
I’m going back through the forum and trying to see any correlation, but I cannot find any. Did students who found out they had an @ncsu.edu email eventually get an acceptance letter when decisions were sent out?
It’s valid, but the issue still could be that it’s not your child. Unless you have a very unique name, you can’t tell if it’s yours or not based on concatenation and alphanumeric sequences.
@markmil1 The name is quite unique, so I was assuming the email matched.
Will need to change my name to ncHEAVYmom if I stress-eat they way I would like to this week!
Tomorrow’s the day! How’s everyone feeling?
Hoping my son gets a ‘YES’. He’s ready to accept but has two excellent alternatives if it’s a ‘NO’. I can’t wait for it to be over - regardless of the decision.
@jclifff I’m so anxious and ready!!
@jclifff How do you know decisions are tomorrow?
@Firebolt4 I am personally confident based on when decisions came out last year and from various comments by other forum members that have spoken directly to admissions. Admissions indicated decisions would be released between the 22nd and 30th consistent with last year so all signs point to 5pm tomorrow.
@jcliff if one has an ncsu.edu gmail address (unless they are already taking classes there) getting found in the directory is an indication of acceptance. In my youngest’s case my oldest showed us it even autofilled the name in gmail. But if one has a common last name than less useful since can’t guess the suffix # e.g. SmithMA7
FWIW, I’ve applied as a transfer, just tried what should be my email address and it bounced back.
Do not worry! I do not believe there is much of an indication, whether or not you can find your email. We searched for my son’s name and found nothing. Then, in the directory looked for 4 names of kids who got accepted EA in January. We could find 2 but could not find the other 2. Plus, one CC contributer the other day said she found her son’s email address one day but the next day it had disappeared. If everyone could look up their name before results were in, there would be no point in the “big day”… everyone would just know.
