<p>Hello everyone. I applied to the university before the February 1st deadline, but I was wondering if there is a different procedure for students intending to transfer from one institution (community college) to this university? I am hearing that some people have already received a decision from NC State and I am becoming more and more anxious to find out if I will be accepted or not. I have checked my Wolfpaw account many times recently and for a while it was listed as "submitted", however, the status changed to "under review" two weeks ago. Is it possible that I might have back from them before March 30th? I'm under a severe time crunch and really need to hear a decision soon so if I am accepted, I can file all the necessary paperwork for the university and also for the Department of Veteran Affairs (using post-9/11 GI Bill) and if I am declined, figure out whether to accept admissions to either Appalachian State or Methodist University and file the paperwork required for them and deal with finding a place to live. </p>

<p>Hey ravenfeather – transfer admissions to NC State usually takes between 8 to 12 weeks for a decision. That means there’s a chance you’ll know by April 1, but no guarantee.</p>
<p>I am in a similar boat and I just found out that if you are currently taking any classes needed for admission you cannot be considered until your final grades are submitted.</p>
<p>@Mradair - Wow. I didn’t know that. I am transfer student with international credentials. I earned 48 credits. However, 12 more credits are still in progress. My final grades won’t be up before the 1st week of May. So if they wait for my final grades, then I am in trouble.</p>
<p>I submitted my application almost a month ago. It still says “submitted”. :(</p>
<p>Has anyone heard from NC State on a transfer Decision?</p>
<p>I have not heard anything so far. I have been told to contact the admissions office, but it seems like they only tell you that you should expect to hear something from them soon.</p>
<p>I still have not heard back either! I turned my application in January 28th and It has been “under review” for over a month! I’m going to call admissions tomorrow.</p>
<p>Still listed as “under review” but a transfer evaluation summary was posted to my account this afternoon. What could that possibly mean? I mean, would they even bother creating a list of all the courses I have taken at a community college/other universities to see what is equivalent to courses at NC State if they are not considering accepting me?</p>
<p>My application has been under review with “reviewing transcripts” for two weeks and has not been updated. This week will mark the twelfth week. I hope we all hear something this weekend.</p>
<p>My application has been under review and under it it says your application has been scheduled to for review by an admissions officer, is that what everybody’s said? Mine has been like that for about a month!</p>
<p>Mine says “We are reviewing your transcripts to determine which courses will transfer for credit to NC State University”, tomorrow will be 4 weeks since it went under review and Monday will be 12 weeks since I submitted my application… I emailed nc state Monday and never received a reply.</p>

<p>yeah mine hasn’t gotten to that yet. I just passed 9 weeks since I submitted my application. So I’m assuming it should switch to what yours says soon? How long has it been saying reviewing your transcripts?</p>
<p>Mine never said anything about being reviewed by an admissions officer. I check my wolfpaw everyday and the day it went under review it said the thing about reviewing my transcripts. I’m hoping that this is a good thing that its taking this long because one of my friends applied around the same time for transfer and found out over a month ago that he was denied so maybe this means were all accepted.</p>
<p>I hope so too. Hopefully we will find out this month. It’s stressful waiting this long becuase you have to make plans for finances, etc before its too late.</p>

I applied on the 28th too, and my Wolfpaw says the same thing, so yeah I hope that’s good news.</p>
<p>Hi guys, I’m not sure how many of you have heard back yet from nc state but I emailed them about 3 weeks ago about my transfer application status and I just was emailed this response today…
Dear Jaclyn,
We are currently evaluating some of your courses to determine whether or not they are transferable to NC State. Unfortunately, I cannot tell you how much longer it will be before a decision has been made.</p>
<p>A real helpful response right?! Not.</p>
<p>Wow. That’s not helpful at all. They should have a deadline/admission date set for us just like freshman applicants. 
Especially for those of us who applied before the deadline.
I hope we will get some responses before May.</p>
<p>Application status page changed yesterday, but still under review…</p>

Your application package is complete (nothing is missing). It has been forwarded for evaluation for an admissions decision.”</p>
<p>It has now changed to that message instead of “being reviewed by an admissions officer”. I really hope to hear something next week because I need to confirm a spot with another university if I am not accepted at NC State (my first-choice university).</p>
