NC State Campus?

Didn’t see any threads for this so I started my own.

For anyone who currently attends State I was wondering their honest opinion of the campus. On an online virtual tour I noticed Centennial Campus is absolutely breathtaking but everything else is pretty mediocre at best… some of the residence halls especially don’t look great.

State is my number one choice and I think I’m going there no matter what, I’m just a little concerned about how the look of some parts of the campus will affect my experience there. I know its a kind of vague question, I’m not looking for any specific answers just general thoughts.

Have you been to the campus? Walking around is far better than the virtual tours.

State is on par with just about any other large public university. Some parts are new, i.e. Centennial Campus and Talley. Some parts are old, such as 1911 (neat story on that building, it’s worth a quick google search). But they are all maintained, and perfectly fine.

The only negative I’ve ever heard, and it’s mostly students making fun of their own school, is “I hope you like bricks”, as everything uses bricks.

I’ve been on campus and everything is great- can’t think of something that’s isn’t like you’ve mentioned. I hope you get in and me as well, perhaps we will walk past each other and not realize?
