I am a male, out of state (Virginia), and I applied early action to NC State.
Academics:
GPA: 4.48 weighted, 3.81 unweighted
SAT: 2110 (M 680, CR 700 W 730)
SAT II: Math I: 700, U.S. History: 740
2 honor societies, and honor roll every semester.
6 AP courses/1 dual-enrollment
Extracurriculars:
Baseball: All district/conference in my Junior year. 2 varsity letters
Indoor Track
Work Experience: I worked 22hrs/wk during the summer before senior year, and worked 12hrs/weekend through November of my senior year.
Aviation: My biggest interest/passion. I have around 45 hours of flight time and training for my Pilot’s License which I plan to get by the time I graduate high school.
Not much in the way of volunteering (minimal hours)
Interests:
Applied as an Environmental Science major.
I plan to do NROTC while at NC State
Very little outside of school and the school stuff is good but not amazing. I’d say it’s a high match because NCState isn’t too competitive. I hope you get in!
NC State is competitive. A bunch of kids at my sons school did not get in. His N.C. high school is a magnet school so it has many great kids. You need to have more EC to add to your application. Good luck!
@midcandidate how did you just apply early action, the deadline was October 15th, and we were notified December 15th. btw, to answer your question, you are a high match, almost certainly accepted, I was accepted and invited to honors and scholars programs with lower stats.
