Im going to be attending NC State in the fall. Yeah, Im not one of the ivy leaguers. Im out of state (from PA) and would like to know if anyone knows any information on the school that you would share with me. I did my research obviously before I made my decision that I wanted to go there, but I want to know what other people think. Is it a bad school? Are there plenty of things to do in Raleigh?

Ive seen the campus already. It wasnt SPECTACULAR, but wasnt bad either. Im going into marketing and saw they have a decent business school, much better then any other schools I was applying to. I have a 24 ACT (29 M, 20 R, 22 E, 24 S) with a 3.7 W 3.5 UW GPA. I was surprised I got into NC State's school of management...should I have been? Thanks to everyone who replies

NC State is highly respected and sometimes gets ignored a bit because it is overshadowed by other schools in NC (ie: Duke, Wake, Chapel Hill) but it is nonetheless an excellent school. I haven't visited it, but I know their business and engineering programs are excellent. Of course they have ACC athletics, which shouldn't matter, but I think that makes clear that NC State students have pride in the Wolf Pack. Intramurals are very big their according to the Princeton Review. Also Raleigh is supposed to be an awesome city, so I'm sure their will be plenty to do. Have fun at NC State :)

PS: Don't say its a bad school! lol No school is a bad school! NC State has an average SAT of a 1200 for 20,000 kids--thats pretty damn good :) Just because its big doesn't mean its not selective. Be proud! :)

I know its not a bad school, its just everyone on here has such high expectations, as do I, but I cant reach the schools that some people on here can.

I really respect your input, thanks a lot for that. Anyone else?
