NCAA clearinghouse question

If my daughter’s account shows:

Eligibility status
We will not begin your certification until it is requested by an NCAA school

Soccer
Division I
Academic Status
Final Qualifier
(Early Academic Qualifier)

Amateur Status
Final: Certified

Division II
Academic Status
Final Qualifier
(Early Academic Qualifier)

Amateur Status
Final: Certified

Final Amateurism has been requested

Does this mean that a coach has put her on the list to request final certification or that it is waiting for a coach to put on the list to do certification?

I haven’t looked at my son’s NCAA account since he started college. I just took a look and it says the same thing as your daugther’s account, including “We will not begin your certification until it is requested by an NCAA school” Since I know that he has been playing for 3 years and his certification is final, I would assume that your daughter has been cleared also. I don’t know if that is because a coach has requested certification, but I would guess the answer is yes.

I just looked a little further. If she signs in to her NCAA profile, there should be an NCAA ID # in the upper right corner of her dashboard. If you click on that and then go to “Eligibility Status”, it should list a waiver type for each division as well as the decision date.

I don’t think they can issue the certificate until the high school(s) submit the original final transcript(s)

My daughter has signed with a D1 program for next year and her NCAA profile says the same thing as your daughters. I was under the impression that we were waiting for final grades to be fully certified.
