<p>What exactly does registering for NCAA Clearinghouse do?</p>
<p>If you want to play asport in college you need to register (meaning div 1 or div3). The clearinghouse gets a copy of your transcript and your sat grades. They determine on a sliding scale whether or not you are eligible to play. They also have course requirements.. such as 4 years of english.. (i'm not sure what else). The requirements are not very hard, and most average students should have no problem getting through the clearing house.</p>
<p>I think the Clearinghouse forms are only applicable to Div I, not Div III.</p>
<p>What if you are a 2 sport varsity athlete, but don't think you are recruitable? Maybe you'd like to continue tennis, for example, but don't have private lessons now USTA reg et al. Would that be club sports or intramurals only, then?</p>
