@iman1998
Just wondering, did you include a resume in your application to touch on the things you might’ve missed?
Also, have you heard anything back yet?
Thanks!
No I did not include a resume, I think they don’t ask for one to keep it as academic (GPA, test scores) based as possible. I called a few days ago and asked when decisions would be out and they told me late February so another week or two. Decisions have been made for the Dowdy scholarship though so if you see anyone talking about that don’t get scared and think you didn’t get the National Alumni Scholarship. Aside from that, call and make sure they have actually received your FAFSA information. I completed mine in October and they sent me an email saying they hadn’t received it. They “found” it as soon as I inquired about it though.
@iman1998 Okay awesome, thanks for the information!
While it’d be amazing to get it, it’s not practical to count on it. I heard there were only four recipients last year!
Thanks again, good luck! Let me know if you got the scholarship; that’d be awesome!
^ Correction: not practical to count on for me.
Apparently this year there’s only going to be 2 recipients out of the 746 applications received.
@iman1998 That’s crazy, smh :’,) I heard that financial aid award letters are out so you can either find it on Aggie Access or in the mail!
The scholarship winners are notified via regular mail before it’s added to their financial aid on aggie access. The decisions are supposed to be sent out this week.
@iman1998 did you get anything yet?
@iman1998 I’ve been away from home since Thursday and I dont know if I’ve gotten anything yet, so just checking
No they’re behind on making decisions but I’ve decided not to go there regardless
