NCSSM Class of 2016- Future Applicants

lol join the calc slacking party. I’ve got a test tomorrow… I’m so screwed bc we only have like 5 grades…ughhhh

@supremenoodle I’m not sure. I go to an Early College, so its literally College Calculus 1.
9days.22.hours.58minutes. SINGLE DIGITS. Its so close I can taste it.

@loltired Ughhh taylor series kill me every time. And @supremenoodle I have a test tomorrow too…Where are you guys with potter?

@willsister1 <a href=“Europe - The Final Countdown (Official Video) - YouTube”>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9jK-NcRmVcw</a> … it’s time.

Just wanted to say, Happy Single Digits everyone! Only a few more days. It’ll be here before we know it.

@Chyang lollll i have Lyttle. We’re all around the same place though.
We have a remedial retest on wednesday though, thank god. I think i bombed the last calc test and my calc grade tanked. I had an A, but now idek. Ughhhh it’s almost spring break, i don’t want to do things…
Anywho 851,748 seconds left :)

@supremenoodle Wait, you guys get remedial tests? Luckyyy :stuck_out_tongue:

And oh my goodness I don’t know how to feel about anything now, we’re so close.

@Chyang We normally don’t. The only reason we have this one is because most of the class epically failed the last test, which was unreasonably difficult :stuck_out_tongue:
Plus we don’t have anything, really, to balance it out

842,687 seconds left. Whoa

@Chyang If only life would fly by in a montage, with that song in the background, until April 3rd.

YOU GUYS!!! THEY ARE MEETING TOMORROW. OUR FATES ARE GOING TO BE DECIDED.
Also that means that after tomorrow, they are going to knowwwww, That means that our statuses could be put up any day now, because they could post them early. OMGOMGOMGOMG
9days.10 hours.17minutes.

@WhiteRabbit98 lmao I’m a bit worried about what’ll happen if I don’t get in… -has a stroke-
just kidding; but seriously, I think I’ll be a little too disappointed. I mean, I probably shouldn’t be, considering I ■■■■■■■■■■■ the whole application and everything like literally down to the last minute, but yeah. Oh well. xD

@songbird13 yeah, so much competition! My district is relatively small, though, so hopefully not a lot here. Plus only one other person from my school applied (he’s a huuuge math freak, though, like super hella smart in there. He’s already taken calculus, meanwhile I’m in algebra 2…lmao, I know for sure he’s getting in, but whatever.)

@willsister1 omf wow your ex is chill af. I love Tyler. xD and hey, i go to an early college too!

guys wow it’s hella close now. i’m super nervous. i hope i get in, but at the same time, what if i epically fail there?

@supremenoodle yeah, it doesn’t help that my teacher doesnt teach! i missed a few days for robotics, and he handed me a packet to do (with no explanation on how to do the problems) and im taking the test i missed today. keep in mind, he never actually bothered to teach me. im prepared because my friends explained it to me and i understood, but he was really confused about why i (and like 3 other people) werent prepared to take the test the next day!

@trashboat right! Yeah, I’m the only one from my school who applied for residential, but of course there are other bigger counties in the cd! Yeah, i’m in alg 2 same! I’m also wondering about the whole failing part. Everyone says it’s a huge adjustment, but my school doesnt have the best teachers/resources/brains so i’m scared im going to be ridiculously behind everyone else!

Tomorrow is the day the committee meets!!! Yikes.

It’s freaking me out to think that people will be sitting in a room evaluating my potential and value as a student in a meeting based on a bunch of papers… Can the results be back yet?
9 days 6 hours 59 minutes 48 seconds

@songbird13 I’m from one of the poorest counties in the state and we like absolutely ZERO resources. Most of our teachers don’t even want be teachers. We have a few good teachers, thought. I don’t have very many math and science classes left to take here. I breeze through everything here and I hope I’m going to be able to adjust to the workload. We had to take ACA 115 (Success and Study Skills) at my school freshman year, but I’m still not the greatest at actually studying. That is what I am most worried about.

9days.6hours.49minutes.

I pray I get the judges who get me in.

I pray that the math teacher reviews mine.

@songbird13 whats your quizup id?

I pray that a sympathetic teacher reviews mine. Or maybe they’ll just laugh at mine. Tomorrow. It begins. (Activates light saber)

I pray that… well, I just pray that I get in.
I should be doing APES

I pray that whoever reads mine is easily impressed.

@songbird13 I feel you! Most of my teachers aren’t very good, but there are a few great ones! My school isn’t really helpful with skipping around, but I’ll be out of classes by my junior/senior year. We have just enough to make it through the 4 years. Yeah, my classes are ridiculously easy for me and I’m scared I’ll be overwhelmed at NCSSM, if I get in. Yeah, I’ve only studied for maybe two of my classes ever, and only one of my current classes. An alum from my school spoke at Discovery Day (which surprised me bc i didnt know she existed) said it was definitely a big adjustment study/time-management-wise, which I know will definitely be true since we had almost the same teachers. I’m scared I’ll be surrounded by people exponentially smarter than me and I’ll fall behind.

@Keo691 tbh im not really sure… oops! what’s yours?

I pray that they think I’m good enough to get in.
