I think you look great. Good luck! I have several kids who attend and have attended. PM me with any questions.
@Skrunch Thank you for the reply and feedback! Also, I wanted to correct something on my previous post: after the title βAWARDS/HONORSβ, I said, " (only a few because Iβm only halfway done with my freshman year)", which isnβt true. I finished my freshman year and am a rising sophomore. I typed this part up a while ago and updated it now and forgot to get rid of that little note.

Hi, Iβm a current junior at ncssm and I will be happy to answer any questions. @savkalhan1200, your classes look impressive and I think you have a good shot! Just remember to really write about why the things you did such as extracurriculars were important to you and emphasize why you need smath.
@icantfindany
Iβm also a CD8 applicant, what school did you attend?

Since this is our first year operating, we lack a lot of opportunities that other schools have, like the chance of doubling up is very low, and we donβt (or plan to) offer summer school or online courses. A lot of courses arenβt offered here either.
Do I have a chance at getting into NCSSM? Thanks!
I think you have a really good chance of getting into NCSSM! I would probably do more community service and STEM activities but that is all!
Iβm gonna be honestβ¦ CD4 is a crapshoot, even if you have perfect stats, and all the right awards, itβs still not guaranteed(or even a good chance) that youβll get in.
I really hate to be the negative one here, but thereβs just so many good students from CD4(enloe, GHHS, PC, to name a few).
For context, I was rejected c/o 2021 from CD4. Asian male, 4.0uw/4.4w, 1530 SAT, multiple state level awards. Many others I know were rejected with similar or even better stats.
Hope this helps.
I have a question. Do you know how competitive CD11 is? If not thatβs fine. Thank you so much!
