I just wanted to know how competitive District 11 was when applying for NCSSM.

Isn’t district 11 in the mountains…by the TN state line? If so, it is not an overly competitive district that I know of. The Charlotte/Meck area and of ourse the Triad are said to be by far the most competitive.
Historically, I think NCSSM has some trouble attracting kids from the mountain regions because of how far it is from NCSSM (makes for a tough commute each month when the dorms close and everyone has to go home).

Still, even if it is a less competitive district, it will competitive on some level. That is the nature of NCSSM.

Best of luck…

I think Taben covered it, but what’s the difference between the Triad and Triangle regions? I know CD4 contains Durham, Chapel Hill, and much of Raleigh, but I’ve always heard it referred to as the triangle.

Traid is Greensboro, Winston-Salem, and High Point
Triangle is Raleigh–Durham–Chapel Hill

The TRIANGLE is the most competitive area, I do believe. Sorry about that. I put Triad. Triad is competitive too, but I think the Triangle and Char-Meck trump all.
