Can someone guide as to which one of these schools is better for Management Information Tech in the business school? Any idea which one has better job placement % in this field? Better program ?
NCSU for Management Information would give your child lots of opportunity for internships in the Research Triangle. This would allow him or her to have a great deal of information regarding what it will be like to work in this field before graduation, allowing him or her to make adjustments to his or her course of study if desired. Poole College of Management provides a lot of information about its programs and placement rates, and the administrative staff is terrific in helping students navigate degree requirements and opportunities.
I do not know the program at Appalachian State, so I cannot give you the pros of that program.
You shouldn’t hesitate to ask specific questions to the administration at these schools to ask about job placement rates, on campus recruiting, and percentage of students completing internships prior to graduation. They should also have information on starting salaries as well.
