ND generous with $$$?

I know ND doesn't have merit aid. Are the generous with financial aid? Basically, what is the cutoff for parent's salary where they stop giving fin aid?

I don't know, because I don't qualify, but I have always heard that they are very generous and meet 100% of your demonstrated need, so they only make you pay what the FAFSA says you should. I don't know for sure, but that is what I have heard.

For me, ND was really generous with financial aid. I've talked to some other kids who are going next year though, and they weren't as lucky. I'm not sure what the cutoff is, but they do go by the FAFSA and only make you pay what it says, just like irish68178 said.

They do not only go by FAFSA, because ND also requires the Profile, which takes into account other expenses, such as private school tuition for younger siblings.

We pay less than our FAFSA amount.

They were quite generous to us, too. Very little of the "aid" was in loans; very nice ND scholarship. Second year was almost as good; they expect the student to contribute a little more each year.

I was VERY lucky.. ND rocks with financial aid. They fill in some way or another whatever the difference is between tuition and all and EFC. For me it was $20k ND scholarship and 8k in loans.. the 20k alone made it almost as cheap as my next choice.. UofI. Yes, ND is great with aid.
