ND letters: mail time?

Does anyone know how long it generally takes a Notre Dame admissions letter to reach Long Island/New York or anyplace else, for that matter? Thank you

If I had to guess, they are going to mail them on December 14. So you’ll get it maybe on Monday the 17th?

Ooooh I hope it’s that soon! Thank you!

Wasn’t there someone on this forum earlier who said they would email a regional admission counselor soon to find out?

“Wasn’t there someone on this forum earlier who said they would email a regional admission counselor soon to find out?”

That was me. I actually e-mailed her earlier today. I’ll post on this board when she responds.

I just got a response today. She said that “you should receive your decision about a week before Christmas”. 2 more weeks!

Omg that’s so exciting/nerve wracking

I agree, that’s both exciting and terrifying. I want to go to Notre Dame so badly… Anyway, thanks Oilercountry!

Thank you Oilercountry! I hope that she’s right and we get them soon!

Around the 15th.

They’ve mailed them on a Thursday in the past 2 years (Dec 15th in 2011 and the 16th in 2010) so maybe they’ll mail them Thursday the 13th? I hope so.

So, regardless of when the letters are mailed, does anyone know HOW MANY DAYS it takes an acceptance letter to get from ND to New York (Long Island specifically)?

^^i was literally going to ask the same question lol

Well they said that all who receive their letters by mail will receive them by the 20th so if you’re far from South Bend, assume you will receive it close to that date.

Everybody who wants an estimate: [Postage Price Calculator](<a href=“File Not Found”>http://postcalc.usps.com/)
ND’s zip is: 46556

So, for example, the calculator says that a letter mailed to Long Island City will arrive on Monday! Versus to my hometown here in Ohio semi-close to ND, where it says Saturday!

Do the letters get sent out on the same day (we’re guessing the 13th?) or do they get sent so that they ARRIVE to all locations at the same time?

They all get mailed the same day, with enough time to get to the farthest places by the 20th, so arrivals will be scattered over a few days but all should arrive on or before the 20th. Also I followed @NDAdmissions on twitter who says they will be tweeting when they drop the letters off at the post office.

Will the decisions be priority or express mail though?

I think Priority- Express is the quicker one so they probably won’t spend the extra money, and my friend heard from a different school yesterday and said it was priority
