Hey, I've just been accepted to ND NROTC for 2010. Just wanted to know who else has been accepted.

Finally, another NROTC person! congrats! i was accepted ea to the school and just found out about nrotc about 2 weeks ago. i can't wait to start. do you know if we have to be at school earlier than the rest of the freshmen?

I think you may have to but I am really not sure. I have a lot of friends in ROTC and I really respect what they do. Congrats to both of you and thank you for your decision to serve our country (and get a free education). Really, I have a ton of respect for you guys.

i'm going to have to say yes is the answer to the question about coming early. Not in ROTC myself but know a bunch who are.

I was accepted EA and applied for NROTC, however I havn't found out about NROTC yet.

I don't think you're going to have a problem getting into nrotc at notre dame when you were accepted early. i was one of those people who was totally suprised to have gotten in early, so i was still nervous about nrotc. when did you submit your nrotc app?

Thanks irish68178 for the really great comment. I finished my NROTC application completely by late November although I had started it months before. I am still looking heavily into the Naval Academy (Dad & Grandfather went there), but ND's NROTC is #1 in the U.S. (my uncle went to ND), the most sought after, and by far the hardest to get.

I know four people my age (40's) who graduated from ND in ROTC. They are four of the finest folks I have ever met, and loved their time in ROTC. Best of luck.

My dad retired as a Capt. in the Navy last year (he went to the Naval Academy). All of the high ranking officers that I knew were either Academy or NROTC at Notre Dame. There is a reason ND's NROTC unit is #1.
