ND Student Input, Please

<p>Hello! I am currently a junior at a competitive public high school. I have been looking at Notre Dame my whole life, but I am afraid I do not have what it takes to get in. Here are my stats and thank you all for your thoughts and opinions.
GPA: around 4.0 w
Class Rank: Somewhere in top 12%
ACT: 31
I will have taken 11 honor classes and 4 AP classes by graduation
ECs:
Freshmen Year: Football, volleyball in school. Basketball, baseball leagues outside of school. Active member in church's youth group. Part time job. Independent weightlifting.</p>

<p>Sophomore Year: Football, volleyball in school. Basketball, baseball leagues outside of school. Active member in church's youth group. Part time job.</p>

<p>Junior Year: Varsity Volleyball in school. Basketball, baseball leagues outside of school. Active member in church's youth group. Part time job. National Honor Society. Mock Trial Competition</p>

<p>Senior Year: Varsity Volleyball in school. Basketball, baseball leagues outside of school along with golf. Youth group. Part time job. NHS.</p>

<p>Looks good, but work on SAT and ACT--you are in the running, but a few more points would really help.</p>

<p>It is going to be a close call, especially due to your class rank sorry to say. Just work on getting the grades up as much as you can and definately give the standardized tests another shot as they can really help a lot in close cases. Good luck!</p>

<p>Thanks for the advice. I am going to take the ACT again in Feb. The first time I tried it I got a 24 on the Reading portion (ouch!), so I hope that improves. Thanks again</p>

<p>You seem to be right on the borderline, you should definetely make sure that your essay is impressive, it can really make the difference.</p>
