NEC Application submit button panic!

This evening we had an episode in our house. My D submitted her NEC application on October 31st ahead of the November 1 priority deadline and quickly moved forward with other things.

Tonight she felt like checking her application to make sure it shows as submitted. To her surprise, in the final review page the submit button was still available ready to be clicked! She panicked wondering whether her application was not submitted properly on October 31st so she clicked Submit again and got a new email from NEC thanking her for the application, despite this being couple days past the deadline… Then she logged out and logged back again and presto the Submit button is back again.

Seems like a bug on their site. Still, we’ll give them a call tomorrow to ensure all is well but in the meanwhile thought I should share in case anyone else notice the same and wonder.

Received the following response from NEC :

Thank you for your email. This seems to be a glitch that a lot of applicants have been experiencing. Not to worry, your D’s application says it was submitted on October 31st.

Phewww…

Panic round 2… Last night my D received an email telling her that she did not submit her audition confirmation form and hence if she does not reply to this email by noon 1/18 her audition spot will be dropped etc.

She had submitted this form as soon as she had received the first email about it.

So she replied to the email and got confirmation back and all is well and safe but the gist of it, NEC application and forms are real messed up this year. You may want to double check on whether your audition acceptance form is submitted and acknowledged by NEC admissions.

What is going on with my Alma Mater??? That is just too much added stress for your Daughter!! I hope everything else goes smoothly! Is it high on her list? My D loves it there!

Let’s just say I’m thankful they are in the music education business and not computer science!

It is a great school and my D is already loving it there (NEC Prep) and certainly it is a very high choice for her.

Fingers crossed!

Good luck @HereWeGoAgain2018 D!
