Necessary to take bio SAT II again with a 720?

Last year, I took the US History and Biology SAT II's. On USH, I scored an 800, while in Bio I got a 720. In October, I plan on taking the Math Level 1 test (although math isn't exactly my thing), and I am wondering whether I should take Bio again as well.

I understand that a 720 isn't too shabby, but I would probably do at least somewhat better the next time around.

Given the fact that I plan on applying to some low-mid level Ivy Schools (read: not HYP), is it necessary for me to take Bio again? (Btw, I got 5's on the APBio and APUSH tests if that makes any difference) Thanks!

anybody? I kind of need to know soon

No, Bio has harsh curves

720 is good enough for “low-mid level Ivies”. Since math may not be your strong point definitely focus on that instead of juggling bio and math together.

no, do not retake your bio sat II’s. it’d be a waste of time to do so.

and no ivy leagues are low level

700+ and you’re good. So you’re good :)

If ur applying to MIT and Caltech, absolutely. Aim for 750+

^ MIT & Caltech admissions people have both told me that 700+ is the norm. What MIT/Caltech cares most about are your EC’s and School grades.

sorry bump

i have to bump

If you’re 700+, no need. As far as the score is concerned theres a chance you might end up with the same or a worse grade.

I think you are just fine based off everyone’s response.

May I ask what schools you are applying to?
Some schools favor the subject test more than others

Not at all, 720 is a great score for the bio subject test.
