<p>I created a pin for my D when I made the FAFSA account but am I correct in that it seems in order to "sign" in the parents spot I need to create my own pin as well?</p>

<p>Yes you need a pin and your child needs a pin. Don’t lose them----you can’t make corrections, etc. without them.</p>
<p>Also, you keep the same pin for every time you file FAFSA. If you ever lose it, I think you can also click on a “request duplicate pin” option and you enter your name, ss #, and dob and it’ll either email it to you or display it right there on your computer.</p>
<p>There’s also a challenge question but I can’t remember when that comes in.</p>
<p>And you would use the same PIN for yourself if other children file FAFSA in the future.</p>
