NEED A 400 Point Increase... HELP!

Hello everyone
1st time I took SAT I got 1580(570M,470CR,540W,8essay)
2nd time I got 1720(570M,520CR,630W,10E)
3rd time will be Dec 7th, in less than a month away.

What is the best way to prepare, in order for me to receive at least a 2100.

I have the blue book, black book, Dr Chung sat math.
What shall be my approach??
Any advice or strong testimonials would be lovely!

Of course my chances are slim, but if I work hard, I can see at least a 1900.

That Math not moving is a killer.

Do practice tests under real conditions. Make sure you categorize where your mistakes are coming from. Are they level 5’s or are you sloppy on level 2? Are you missing geometry? Reading passages?

Once you have specific areas of weakness identified continue to work those types of problems. Try to understand how CB lures you into wrong answers on the level 5’s.

Thanks for the advice! Will do!

How did u increase in reading these points. I am 470 and want 500+ give me advice

me too need to increase in reading any good advices

For reading, honestly I just did practice sections in the blue book and that section I memorized errors and am able to notice them on test day. Writing comes with memorization believe it or not, practice, memorize and you’ll be fine . Essay- I always wing it.

Yeah your math seems kind of low. So since you improved on all the other sections work mostly on the math and then critical reading can always be improved as well if you study grammatical structuring.

When a hard-working student isn’t improving in math, it makes me suspect something is going wrong strategically. How are you doing on time? Do you finish the sections? That may be your problem. You can score mid-600s even if you barely get to the level-5’s. Try taking a practice test where your focus is on going slow and trying to sweep the easy and medium questions. Then, if you still have time, pick and choose in the hard zone but don’t worry if time runs out. You can’t get an 800 this way, but it is the easiest way to get a 650.

Honestly, you guys are awesome. Much help!!! can you guys explain to me your math strategies ?? Like I know it has to be easy to get at least a 600, I’m just not getting a 600. It has to be my strategy …

Bump… Any more tips…

Dr. Chung’s just wasted time and money, a lot of money, for a LOT of people. Stay away from that trash.

Just read and study the Black Book and make it your bible.

Thanks for tips! and yeah Dr Chung (lol), isn’t a good book, very difficult too

I couldn’t find the blue book so I used some real SAT tests I found online…Improving the SATs is about practice.Do as many practice tests as possible. And make sure you look at both the answers you got right as well as those you got wrong when you are finished taking a practice test.

Alrighty, Thanks !!

Thanks guys for all the advice honestly !!! :)

Bump for visibility, anybody else?

Bumppppp ???
