Need a better school that fits what I want to do

I really want to go into the music industry. I go to metal concerts all the time and I think I want to represent record companies or bands because it is my passion. Right now I am double majoring at Bradley University in Public Relations and Psychology, but I don't even know if that major suits that. Should I try business? The reason why I want to get out of Bradley is because of the location primarily. If this is the career I want, I need to be closer to the scene.

Here are my stats:

High school GPA: 3.6/4 unweighted

College GPA with 51 credit hours: 3.77/4

ACT: 26 composite. Probably my greatest weaknesses. I hate tests that you honestly have no way of studying for completely when everything is popouri.

E.C. Related to my future career, I am a writer on Metalunderground.com. I review certain metal albums and also interview certain bands and transcribe it on the website. If their is certain news, I also publish it.

Vice president of my hall

Student Senate

BU EDGE RADIO for only 1 year. It was not worth doing since absolutely no one listened to it.

Which colleges should I apply to? I think I can get into a lot that suits my interests, but I could be wrong.

public relations is fine for the music industry (i’m assuming you want to do A&R) but i’m inclined to say that you should drop the psychology for business or marketing.

NYU Steinhardt offers a great music business program, and where better to be a music business major than NYC? however, NYU is also really expensive, so that might be prohibitive.

[Music Business - NYU Steinhardt](Music Business | NYU Steinhardt)

drop psychology, take some business courses and get a law degree, specializing in entertainment industry if you want to make any money doing it. Try to write reviews etc while you are in school and also try to get internships in the summer.
