Need a Brunch recommendation

We will be staying in the Garden district on St. Charles this weekend and need a recommendation for a nearby Sunday Brunch place that has good selections that are not egg, meat, or pancake centric (for the wife). She likes tofu scrambles, salads, etc. (S2 & I like grits, meat, eggs, biscuits, gravy, seafood, ...well anything.)

If she is OK with seafood it opens things up. If she is vegetarian or vegan, that is tougher. Here is a list of vegetarian restaurants in the New Orleans area that are supposedly good, but some are outside of the central area. You will have to check them out to see if you can find a match for brunch and location.

1.Bennachin
2.Izzo’s Illegal Burrito
3.Mona’s Cafe
4.Sukho Thai
5.Coffee Rani
6.The Green Goddess
7.Cafe Bamboo
8.Nirvana Indian Cuisine
9.Cafe Granada
10.Basil Leaf

Thanks. She leans vegetarian, but is not one. She will on occasion even eat a hamburger. She is just finicky. :)

Ah OK. All the classic brunch places will have great seafood choices, but I will see if any of my friends still there have specific knowledge of ones that have an abundance of leafy things.

Frankly I don’t think that list I posted is very helpful, but maybe you will find a gem there.

Go to Mother’s, order debris & grits, cover it with large leafs of lettuce and smile!

Now in NOLA. Ate brunch at Dante’s Kitchen. Unbelievably delicious.

When I was there I went to a place called Lüke on St. Charles. Got some nice seafood. Very delicious.

Will have to try Dante’s for our next trip…

Was thinking the same, Stonebridge. Checked the website and it looks very inviting.
