Stanford (Early)
NYU
UC Davis
UC Berkeley
UC LA
UC San Diego
Cornell (have a family member that went there)

Chance would be very appreciated, thanks.

I would say
Stanford: up in the air
NYU: in
UC Davis: in
UC Berk: probably
UCLA: likely
UCSD: in
Cornell:in

even with the poor junior year? it was a pretty sudden change but im hoping my SATs can somewhat change that. Also my first semester senior year is looking pretty good (i know UCs dont see)

Sweet! Thats great news. Any more feedback greatly appreciated.

Stanford: high reach
NYU: low reach
UC Davis: in
UC Berk: high match
UCLA: match
UCSD: IN
Cornell: high match

pls chance back

Thanks. Looking for some more replies plleeaasseee.

Also, does “high match” mean that I have a good shot of getting in? And what about “match”, “low match”, “low reach?”

Thanks, sorry for the dumb questions

Stanford: doubt it (SAT score really isn’t “high” enough to make up for your junior year, IMO, unless your essay explains what happened really well)
NYU: Stern? super reach. If not, a “reach”, but a school that would most likely accept you.
UC Davis: absolutely in
UC Berk: match
UCLA: match
UCSD: in
Cornell: maybe

Oh sorry, umm I am not applying under Stern. I might go undecided. Also what does “match” mean? Does that mean a good shot or what?

Thanks guys

Match means you’re a good fit for the school, so yeah, good shot/relatively safe.

If you guys could chance me back, I’d appreciate it.

All except standford (this is a reach for you)

all UCs, I say, ur in
NYU…I say it’s a match for you

Is the family member who went to Cornell a parent or a sibling? If not, I think Cornell is a big reach, as is Stanford. The issue, obviously, is your junior year grades. I don’t know enough to express an opinion about the UCs.

thanks guys.
yeah hunt, brother goes to cornell

yay i got rejected from stanford early :(

im in the exact same situation as u man…messed up junior year x[

sorry to hear bout stanford. but i got deferred from my school (which is basically like a nicer rejection :)) so i know how u feel.

cornell: reach. having a sibling there isnt as good as having a parent/grandparent there =[
UC davis: in
SD: match
LA: reach. doesnt matter how high your SAT is if your UC gpa is 3.77.
berkeley: bit of a higher reach than LA. same reason
NYU: not stern? then i’d say match; but be prepared to pay a lot to go there x[
