I needed to take a MTH142 this semester, but they're all full, and my advisors can't get me forced in.

I'm looking for a 4 credit course to help me pad out my schedule and get me to Full-Time status. Any suggestions?

Note: I'm a CS major already taking the relevant courses for my major. I'm just looking for something easy so I can focus on those classes.

Thank you in advance

I see a MTH142 section open - section WW. T/R 11-12:20 and WW2 recitation F 8-8:50. Don’t know if that conflicts with another class though.

If you can’t force register, it’s also worth a shot to email a professor and ask if they can add a seat to the class…sometimes they can do that. There also will be people dropping in the first two weeks, so you may be able to add it then.

Do you need 4 credit hours to get up to full time? Those courses are a bit harder to come by.

I’m sure you have chosen a class by now, but in case you haven’t (or if somebody else has a similar question), I took an Intro to Law course a year ago and would highly recommend it. I’m not sure what the course number was exactly, but it was a night class that met once a week. The class was scheduled 7-940, but class never lasted that long It was three credits, and mainly we would just discuss a short reading we would have for homework. Our professor was a lawyer (not a full time UB professor) and he was the nicest guy out there. Besides our homework (a one page summary of the short article we had to read- which you got full credit for as long as you did it), we had two tests which we discussed in detail a week before the exam. All of the topics covered were important aspects of law that anybody needs to know: contracts, landlord/tenant laws, etc… I’m rambling at this point, but check it out if you need an easy (yet practical) class to take and get a good grade.
