I'm currently at 14 credits, but due to switching around my schedule I'm going to be left at 11 credits and I really have very few requirements left to take- and none of them are open anyway.

I am getting a BS in anthro, BA in RCAH, and a Bioethics specialization. Current fall schedule w/o the class I'm dropping: (11 credits)

ANP 202 Biocultural Evolution M W 12:40 PM - 2:00 PM
AST 101 The Celestial Clockrks Tu 6:40 PM - 7:30 PM
CSS 222 New Horizons in Biotechnology Tu 10:20 AM - 12:10 PM
HM 101 Introduction to Public Health - Online
RCAH 390 Language and Culture (D) Th 10:20 AM - 12:10 PM

This is seriously my lightest schedule ever- and I'm ok with that. I am quitting my jobs (they are all over the state and I'm sick of driving... plus I got into a bad accident last year during the ice storm and totaled my car. I'm trying to get a job closer to/on campus but so far no takers) so I need to keep my credit count relatively low. I would love a 1-3 credit class suggestion. If there's a really interesting 4 credit class, I'd be happy to drop my public health class and switch it to spring.

I'm really open to anything interesting. I have interests that are scattered all over the board. I know that's kind of vague but I'm hoping someone on here's got something they can throw my way lol. I can get overrides into most honors classes and I don't mind hard classes- as long as they're interesting.

Thanks everyone :)

If this was spring, there would be tons of suggestions I could make! But since it’s not, I can only offer some vague suggestions:

Try looking at courses for the Digital Humanities Specialization. Obviously, you don’t have to do the specialization, and some of the courses have no prereqs and sound pretty neat. They’re also pretty generally applicable.

Since you’re doing anthro and bioethics, taking Evolution (3 cr) in the Zoology Department might help you beef up your biology credentials.

Of course, look through available anthro classes! There’s usually tons of interesting ones. Check geography and sociology, too.

Sorry I can’t be of much help, but hopefully my vague suggestions will be of some use.

Thanks. The zoo class you suggested reminded me that I still need some science classes for my BS. So I’m now taking Physics 231C. That way I can drop my science class in the spring to have a more open schedule (and only 15 credits). The only downside is that I can’t drop any classes or else I’m in deep pooh because I’d be below full time. But I’ve never dropped a class after starting so it shouldn’t be a huge deal.

Ooh, that’s…interesting. Somehow, I can’t see you in a physics classroom - even though you did take physics in high school, right? Well, that does seem like a nicer schedule than before. Good luck for the coming semester - not that you’ll need it.

Also, did you get the email about the new anthro class? It sounds amazing!

Actually… lol… I never took physics in hs. I’m actually really good at math (34 or 35 on ACT math, 800 on SAT II math 2, 4 or 5 on calc ab, 5 on stats, etc) and I helped people out in hs in physics all the time. Plus, this is algebra-based physics rather than calc-based.

I also dropped my astronomy class because the syllabus is NOTHING like the course description and it is almost identical to a class I’ve already taken. Now, I’m at only one class a day because of the online classes. Which is nice, but I’d rather take a full schedule (another 1-2 credit class). No monies though :(.
