need a little help

hey guys...im new to this whole thing. i plan on starting cc courses during this summer (philosophy major). i looked on assist.org and it said for uc berkeley and ucla, i needed to take classes that aren't offered at my cc (college of the canyons). if i don't finish these courses, am i screwed? or will the colleges understand that i couldn't do anything? thnx a lot for the help in advance

As far as I know, you are only required to take the ones offered at your school. You will not be looked down upon for this. However, I imagine it may look good to find them if they are in your area.

But don't worry about it.

just take them somewhere else im sure other places offer them

Hello from another COC student! There are a ton of other colleges around to look into taking your pre reqs at. I would complete them to make yourself a competitive applicant. I would look at Pierce, Mission, Moorpark, SMC, etc.

thnx guys...

so all i need is my igetc and im all good?

Yes...IGETC and pre reqs. That's it.

aight...thnx :)

oh nixie...wut major are you?

You're welcome!
I am a psych major who is transferring in the fall. :)

oh cool...hmmmm is there any chance that you can help me pick my classes for the summer? lol sorry...im like rly clueless rite now
